Once home to William and Dorothy Wordsworth, Alfoxton Park is now a land-based Buddhist retreat centre.

Since 2020, we've been restoring the property. It had been neglected for many years, leaving the house in serious need of care. It's a magical place set within 52 acres of ancient woodland with herds of red deer grazing the hillside.

Through the warmer months of the year we run retreats and events, welcoming hundreds of volunteers and visitors. All our events run on dana (generosity), we just ask for a booking fee. You can also support Alfoxton with your time - we accept volunteers all through the year.
